Protecting Yourself Online - What Everyone Needs to Know

PYO May 2011On 30 May 2011, the Attorney-General Robert McClelland and the Minister for Broadband, Communications and the Digital Economy Steven Conroy launched the second edition of the publication Protecting Yourself Online – What Everyone Needs to Know.

This publication brings together information and advice from a range of Australian Government departments and agencies, in one handy booklet, to help all Australians stay safe and secure when using the internet - whether dealing with scams, spam, banking or bullying.

Over 138,000 (booklet) and 300,000 (brochure) copies of the first edition of this publication were distributed through libraries, internet service providers, community legal centres and government agencies and programs.

The publication has now been updated to cover new Government initiatives and to ensure the content is up to date.

Both the booklet and information brochure are available online at www.ag.gov.au/cybersecurity.

Requests for printed copies can be made to cybersecurity@ag.gov.au .
