Reviews

Since September 2001 numerous pieces of legislation relating to counter-terrorism have been introduced in Australia.  Particular legislation has required reviews of the operation, effectiveness and implications of the legislation.  Reviews play an important part in the development of Australia’s legislative response to the threat of terrorism.  An essential element in the process of developing and introducing Australia’s counter-terrorism laws has been, and will continue to be, the intense debate, scrutiny and review that these laws receive at all stages of development.
