Go back in time to change the future!

Do you accept the mission?
A learning object to immerse middle year students in natural disaster education in an Australian context, Dingo Creek is designed to engage middle year students in the process of:
- identifying risks from natural disasters to their immediate community, and
- using the emergency risk management process to reduce the impacts of natural disaster on the Australian environment.
Concisely mapped to state and territory curriculum frameworks, Dingo Creek is supported by both an extensive Teaching Manual and 8 off-line lesson plans. The off-line activities will provide opportunity for students to raise awareness of local risks of natural disaster, emergency risk management process and aims to enhance community resilience to the effects of natural disaster.
A companion learning object "Dingo Creek - The Recovery" is set after the disaster and involves students in the process of recovery, rebuilding not just physical, but enviromental, social and economic aspects of the community.
