The Australian Emergency Management Committee (AEMC) as the standing committee for the Ministerial Council for Police and Emergency Management has identified four pillars for future work for emergency management in Australia. These are:
- Resilience
- National Catastrophic Disaster Plan
- Volunteering
- Climate Change.
