Reference and information services
Library staff can help you access library resources and emergency management information, or put you in touch with others who can provide additional information. For assistance with your information needs you can ask a librarian.
Subject guides and bibliographies
The library subject guides are lists of library resources on emergency management topics. Library staff can prepare lists of library resources on request.
New journal articles monthly update
A list of new journal articles is updated monthly. It features a selection of journal articles added to the Library catalogue during the previous month. You can subscribe to the monthly update when completing a membership application form. If you are already a library member and would like to receive the monthly update, please contact the library.
Copies of journal articles
Journal articles are included on the Library catalogue ,with references to more than 18,000 articles.
To obtain a copy of a journal article held by the library, you can complete an article request form. If requesting more than one article, you can complete a multiple article request form.
Articles are copied and posted to you for personal use. Requests must comply with copyright law.
Borrowing
You can borrow library resources in person or request items online and have items posted to your business or home address. Items are sent via express post by the library however it is your responsibility to cover the cost of return postage. Items can be renewed by contacting the library.
Loan periods are:
- 5 weeks for books and CDs
- 3 weeks for DVDs and Videos
