Who can join?
Membership of the Emergency Management Australia (EMA) Library is free and available to anyone with an interest in emergency management. This includes people working in emergency services, federal and state government, local government, education, private sector, or emergency service volunteers. How to join
To become a member, you can complete a membership application. A library team member will contact you to confirm the application and then you can request items.
Benefits of membership
As a member of EMA Library you can:
- borrow from our extensive collection of books, reports, CD-ROMs, DVDs and emergency management plans
- request copies of journal articles
- access member only full-text databases
- keep up to date with the latest issues in emergency management by subscribing to monthly information alerts
Membership conditions
- Items must be returned by due date or renewed by contacting the Library
- Lost or damaged materials will incur a replacement charge
- Items are posted directly to you and it is your responsibility to cover the return postage costs and ensure items are returned in good order
- All items apart from journals are available for loan within Australia
- Journal articles can be photocopied and posted to you for personal use – requests must comply with copyright law.
