National Emergency Volunteer Support Fund

The National Emergency Volunteer Support Fund (NEVSF) focuses on emergency management volunteers. The NEVSF recognises the needs and the significant front-line role that volunteers play in reducing vulnerability and enhancing community safety.

Previous NEVSF program

The 2008-2009 National Emergency Volunteer Support Fund funded 183 projects valued at over $3.25 million.

From the financial year 2010-2011, funding for new projects supporting emergency management volunteers will only be available under the Natural Disaster Resilience Program (NDRP). The NEVSF will cease on 30 June 2010 and no further applications under that program will be accepted.
