Disaster Mitigation
Emergency Management Australia (EMA) administers three grants programs that fund natural disaster mitigation projects across Australia. For more details on any of the programs please select from the following.
Regional Flood Mitigation Program (RFMP) - The RFMP was a national initiative to assist State and Territory governments and local agencies reduce the cost of flooding in rural, regional and outer metropolitan Australia. This Program was incorporated into the NDMP on 1 July 2007.
Natural Disaster Mitigation Program (NDMP) - The NDMP is a national program aimed at identifying and addressing natural disaster risk priorities across the nation. Bushfire Mitigation Program (BMP) - The BMP is a national program aimed at identifying and addressing bushfire mitigation risk priorities across the nation.
