On 1 July 2007, the program was incorporated into the Natural Disaster Mitigation Program to maximise flexibility and streamline administration.
In 2009-2010, the funding for flood mitigation related projects previously offered under the NDMP was incorporated into the Natural Disaster Resilience Program (NDRP).
